Enrica Ciccarelli is an Italian Pianist. Over the course of her long and distinguished career, she was often praised by the international press for her energetic performances, rich in character, taste and musical sensibility.
After attending the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Milan, Enrica Ciccarelli went on to study with great teachers such as Pommier, Magaloff, Nikolajeva e Sergiu Celibidache.
She has performed, both as a soloist and with world-renown orchestras, in concert halls and festivals in Europe, Asia and America (including La Scala in Milan, the Santa Cecilia Auditorium in Rome, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Comunale in Florence, the Concertgebow in Amsterdam, the Tonhaus in Zurich, the Salzburg Festspielhaus, the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Bozar in Brussels, the Megaron Hall in Athens, the Carnagie Hall in New York, the Belgrano Auditorium in Buenos Aires, the NCPA in Bejing, the Hong-Kong City Hall and the Seoul Arts Center).
Her past engagements include collaborations with internationally acclaimed artists such as Salvatore Accardo, Paul Badura-Skoda, Mariella Devia, Toshiyuki Kamioka, Amarilli Nizza, I solisti della Scala, Alexander Shelley, JoAnn Falletta, Alexander Kniazev, Milan Horvàth, Claudio Scimone, Muhai Tang, Gabriel Feltz and Marco Guidarini.
Enrica Ciccarelli’s records have been released by Agorà, Sfem Classics and Verdi Records. Among her most significant recordings are the Concertos by Robert and Clara Schumann, Grieg’s Concerto live from the Concertgebow and the Chopin-Viardot Mazurkas, recorded for the first time in history with Italian soprano Amarilli Nizza. In 2016 the magazine Amadeus releases an exclusive download preview of Enrica’s recording of F.P. Tosti’s romanze, with Argentinian soprano Ivanna Speranza. The project falls within the celebrations for the centennial of Tosti’s death.
She is also artistic director of the Foundation La Società dei Concerti, in Milan, a post she has occupied since 2007.
